About this tool

Find restriction-enzyme recognition sites in a pasted DNA sequence. Select common enzymes or enter a custom IUPAC site (e.g. GAATTC, RCATGY with R=A/G, Y=C/T, N=any).

Reports match positions (1-based), then fragment lengths for the chosen cut set on linear or circular DNA.

Limits

Simplified model: shows recognition matches only (not vendor-specific cut offsets). Sequences over 200 000 bp are truncated.
