Stay day counter

Count calendar dates at one considered place within an inclusive period. Arrival and departure each count as a whole day. Overlapping or duplicate stays count once. Only dates inside the period contribute; an incomplete or invalid stay must be corrected.

Choose dates from 1900 to 2100, a period of 1–366 days and up to 64 stays. The comparison number is freely chosen from 1 to 366; 183 is only a default. It may exceed the period length. The difference is max(0, comparison − counted days), not the number of days you are allowed to stay.

This is not a tax residence test. There are no country rules, partial days, midnight tests, treaty rules or time-zone calculations. The UK rules also consider homes, work and ties (GOV.UK); German law separately defines a home (AO § 8) and habitual residence (AO § 9). Six continuous months must not be replaced by a count of 183 arbitrary dates.

Calculate explicitly after editing. Small drafts use the existing cookie storage; encoded drafts longer than 1,500 characters or drafts that cannot be encoded remain available only until reload, with a visible notice. A blank list counts as zero.
