Understand each field of a cron expression and preview matching times in the browser’s local time zone.
About this tool
Enter a five-field cron expression or choose an example, then Explain. The table describes the exact values of each field, in order: minute, hour, day of month, month, weekday. A list such as 5,25 means only those two minutes, not an ongoing 20-minute interval.
Supported syntax: *, commas, ranges and /steps; English three-letter month and weekday names; Sunday as 0 or 7. When neither day field begins with *, the day-of-month or weekday may match. If either begins with *, including */n, both must match. Steps reset within the field; */15 9-17 * * mon-fri matches 09:00 through 17:45, Monday to Friday.
The preview shows up to ten actual matching minutes after now, within five years, in the local browser time zone. Missing local minutes at daylight-saving changes do not appear; repeated minutes can appear twice. Changes clear the previous result. Reset restores the starting example. Small drafts use the existing cookies; times are not saved. No seconds, @shortcuts, Quartz L/W/# syntax, commands, server-job installation or simulation of daemon catch-up policies.
