Random Generator

UUIDs, random numbers and strings

About this tool

Generate UUID v4 identifiers, integers, floating-point values or hexadecimal bytes. One value per line; copy or download the exact output. Inputs are validated without rounding or clamping. Results clear when settings change and are never stored in tool state. Only entered settings are retained; generated values are not saved. Draws are independent and values may repeat.

Web Crypto supplies randomness; failure produces an error, never a Math.random fallback. UUID v4 sets the RFC 9562 version/variant bits. Integers use unbiased rejection sampling over the inclusive range, within JavaScript safe integers. Floats use 53 random bits and the range [minimum, maximum); equal limits return that value. Binary64 rounding means possible values are discrete, not uniform over every representable float. Hex has two characters per byte, including leading zeros.

No seed or reproducible sequence mode is provided. Numeric modes are not password formats; use the password generator for character constraints. UUID collisions are possible, although unlikely; uniqueness is not guaranteed.
