Elements Table

Compare the chemical and physical properties of all 118 elements.

About this tool

Search by atomic number, exact symbol, or an element name in the current language or English. Select a category and a property group; “All properties” keeps the complete comparison. Click a column heading to sort. Missing values remain last in either direction. Wide tables scroll within their frame.

Atomic masses are rounded values from the bundled reference data. [A] denotes the integer mass number of a selected isotope for elements without a standard atomic weight; it has no unit. These selected isotopes are not necessarily the most stable. χ is electronegativity on the Pauling scale; oxidation states are examples of possible states.

Density and transition temperatures depend on temperature, pressure and allotrope. The legacy data do not provide uniform measurement conditions, uncertainties or a consistent publication date; use them for orientation. Carbon (4098 K) and arsenic (889 K) are marked as sublimation and have no ordinary boiling value here. Helium has no ordinary melting point at ambient pressure. — means unavailable or not applicable. Small nonzero quantities retain their significant digits.
