About this tool

Model a circular exoplanet transit across a solar-radius star.

  • Depth ≈ (R_p/R★)² (ppm also shown)
  • Impact parameter b shifts the chord and duration
  • Quadratic limb darkening (u₁, u₂) deepens the mid-transit slightly

The light curve uses disk-overlap geometry (teaching approximation, not a full Mandel–Agol code). Press Run for the curve and animation.
