Nah-c-Flug
WebGL-Flug bei relativistischer Geschwindigkeit: Längenkontraktion, Zeitdilatation, Doppler-Verschiebung und Scheinwerfereffekt entlang eines Korridors.
About this tool
Fly a camera down a corridor at speed β = v/c. The scene shows classic special-relativistic effects (stylized, not a full light-field renderer):
- Length contraction — rest-frame spacing of poles shrinks by
1/γalong the boost. - Time dilation — traveler proper time advances as
dτ = dt/γ. - Doppler / headlight — approaching light is blueshifted; FOV widens with γ.
- Terrell / Penrose — light-travel time makes side faces of poles visible (rotation-like skew).
- Aberration — star directions compress toward the forward direction via
cos θ = (cos θ′ + β)/(1 + β cos θ′).
Controls: set β, toggle each effect, then Run. Pause or reset anytime. Zoom with Ctrl+scroll.
Limitations: geometric units; no full light-travel integration per pixel; no general relativity.
