Set operations
Union, intersection and differences of two string sets.
About this tool
Set operations
Choose union A ∪ B, intersection A ∩ B, either directional difference, or symmetric difference A △ B (values in exactly one set). The selected set and its size update automatically. TXT exports that entire set using the same quoted syntax.
Separate text values by spaces, commas or semicolons. Outer braces are optional. Quote values containing separators or braces; escape quotes and backslashes within quotes with a backslash. An empty quoted string is an element; blank input is the empty set. Repeated values count once. Values are case-sensitive strings, so 01 and 1 differ.
Options sort using the interface language or convert values to lowercase before matching; converted lowercase values also appear in results. Lowercasing is not full Unicode case folding (ß and ss remain distinct). No Unicode normalization. Each input allows 400 distinct values and 20,000 characters. Edits recalculate after a short typing pause. Raw inputs, operation and options are restored and calculated again, including longer inputs. Generated results and exported files are not stored.
