Markdown Preview

Preview Markdown and GitHub Flavored Markdown locally: headings, nested lists, tasks, tables, blockquotes, links, emphasis and fenced code. Preview updates automatically shortly after typing. Ctrl/⌘+Enter updates immediately. Rendering runs in a cancellable worker. Changes remove stale preview/export data.

Raw HTML is shown as text. Markdown images show alt text and destination, never fetch an image automatically. Only absolute HTTP/HTTPS, mailto and local heading fragments become links; relative and unsafe destinations remain text. Preview/export is additionally sanitised with DOMPurify. Links to headings use generated mp- IDs.

Copy exports the sanitised HTML body. Download creates a styled standalone HTML document with no scripts, external styles or automatic resources. Fonts may differ across devices. No Typst, math, diagram execution or syntax-highlighting engine. Source text is retained locally through the shared browser input store; rendered HTML is never stored. Open accepts UTF-8 files up to 800000 bytes and 200000 characters. MD exports the original source, including imported line endings. Limits: 200000 source characters, 2000000 rendered characters, a 3-second rendering deadline.
