Loudness Headroom
True-peak and loudness headroom helpers for audio mastering targets (LUFS / dBTP style).
About this tool
Enter integrated loudness and true peak measured over the same programme. This tool does not analyze audio files. Inputs update the estimate immediately. Exact input text is retained after reloading; results are recalculated.
Static gain = target − measured loudness. The predicted true peak rises by the same gain. Headroom = ceiling − measured peak; a negative value means attenuation is already needed.
If the target would exceed the ceiling, the alternative uses the available headroom and shows the loudness achievable without limiting. Limiting changes the waveform and loudness, so remeasure afterwards. This is a static estimate: absolute loudness gating and codec overshoot can change the result. No platform target or certified compliance is assumed.
