Life in Weeks
Visualize weeks from birth to a chosen calendar horizon, with the reference week marked.
About this tool
Enter a birth date, reference date and a horizon of 1–120 whole calendar years. Show grid draws seven-day blocks from birth to that target; this is a chosen timeline, not a life-expectancy prediction.
Read the grid
- Each cell covers seven days from birth, left to right, then top to bottom. The final cell may cover fewer than seven days. There are 52 columns; rows are blocks of 52 weeks, not exact calendar years.
- Filled cells are completed blocks. A filled cell with a thick outline marks the block containing the reference date; unfilled outlines are upcoming blocks.
- Totals show whole weeks plus remaining days. Calendar leap days are included. Time until target is counted directly from the reference date; whole-week values need not add up because each interval has its own remainder.
- Equal birth and reference dates mean 0 elapsed days. A reference before birth is invalid. At or after the target, time remaining is 0 and no reference cell lies inside the grid.
Dates and controls
Gregorian dates 1583–9999, without times or daylight-saving changes. A 29 February birth uses 1 March if the target year is common. Today changes the reference to the device’s local date. Editing removes the old result; use Show grid again. Reset restores the example birth 1 January 1990, today and an 82-year horizon. Raw inputs are restored on return, but the grid waits for the action.
