Economy Sectors
Explore an illustrative sector matrix with shares, employment and output for learning comparisons.
About this tool
Search the complete sector table or sort a column. Open “Compare as bars” to compare one metric in descending order. The chart and table have independent controls; table searches do not change the chart.
GDP share is in percent, workers in millions, output in billions of US dollars. Bars use the largest displayed value as their common scale; no values are converted into shares. Zero stays zero, and missing observations appear as a dash.
This is an illustrative sector matrix for comparing the three measures, not an observed global economic dataset. Its values have no reference year, source links or common statistical methodology. Categories such as mining and oil/gas can overlap, output is not automatically GDP contribution, and the recorded shares total 99%. They are deliberately neither normalized nor a complete, disjoint classification. Do not use this matrix for country, current-economy or policy claims.
